Hot Air Balloon Prices in Cappadocia (2026)

Balloon flights in Cappadocia cost between 150–350 EUR per person depending on the company, season, and basket size. Budget flights (20+ passengers) start around 150 EUR. Standard flights (16 passengers) cost 200–250 EUR. Deluxe flights (8–12 passengers) run 280–350 EUR.

How to Book

Book at least 2–3 weeks in advance during peak season (April–October). Popular companies include Royal Balloon, Butterfly Balloons, and Voyager Balloons. Book directly through their websites for the best prices. Avoid booking through hotel touts who mark up significantly.

What to Expect

Flights launch at sunrise and last about 60 minutes. You will fly over fairy chimneys, valleys, and cave dwellings. Champagne is served upon landing. The experience is weather-dependent — flights are cancelled in windy or rainy conditions.

Is a Cappadocia balloon ride worth it?

Absolutely — it is consistently rated as one of the world's best travel experiences. The unique landscape of fairy chimneys at sunrise is breathtaking.

What if my flight is cancelled?

Cancellations due to weather are common (especially in winter). Most companies offer rescheduling or full refunds. Book early in your trip so you have backup days.

The balloon ride was the highlight of our entire Turkey trip! We paid about 200 EUR per person for a 1-hour flight with Royal Balloon. Book at least 2-3 weeks in advance during peak season. The sunrise views over the fairy chimneys are unforgettable.

Insider tip: even if you do not fly, waking up early to watch hundreds of balloons fill the sky from a viewpoint is free and absolutely magical. Sunrise Point and Goreme Panorama are the best spots for photos.

Budget option: some companies offer flights for 100-150 EUR but they pack more people in the basket and the ride is shorter. I went with a mid-range company and it was still amazing. Flights are weather-dependent so plan 2-3 days in Cappadocia in case of cancellations.
